I am so excited about the opportunity to have an “Ultimate” Volleyball Club here in Utah. My family decided to move to Alpine, Utah from Northern California a year ago. I have 5 children, a son-in-law & a grandson. Aulani (27) was the setter on the UVSC women’s volleyball team & married Wes (27) in the Oakland LDS Temple & they have one son, Landon (2), Kiana (21) is currently the setter for the BYU women’s volleyball team, Dallin (20) was the tight end on the University of Utah’s football team, but is currently serving an LDS mission in Tallahassee, FL, Ashlan (16) is playing outside hitter on the Lone Peak High School Varsity Volleyball Team & Rylee (12) plays setter/hitter for the Lone Peak Jr. Knights 8^th grade Volleyball Team. My husband Doug played football at Stanford University and 6 years in the NFL. I attended college at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA and over the past 27 years have been a mother, volleyball coach & volleyball club owner/director.

I have been the owner/director/board member for Gold Cal Jrs VBC in Northern California. It is an elite club, consistently qualifying for Jr. Nationals and creating collegiate opportunities for our athletes. (www.goldcaljrsvbc.com) My business partner passed away unexpectedly and I decided to sale my club and move closer to my college children in Utah. Since moving here, the desire to start a small “streamline” volleyball club in Utah focusing on the individual athlete not the mass production of players & teams has been overwhelming. I have a desire to see a group of chosen athletes ages 13-18 to be given the opportunity to be trained by some of the BEST coaches here in Utah. Coaches that have coached and/or played at a high and successful level and are excited to share their knowledge and training with these “special” athletes. I envision a club where all the coaches play apart in all of the UP2 player’s growth and development. Each coach on our staff has something GREAT to share will ALL of the players and we hope to develop a camaraderie amongst all the ages groups. Our coaching staff will take on the responsibility to be GREAT role models to all of the players. We value our role as a child of God and hope that we represent him in a way that would make him proud.
